Crossroads
JBCCI served as the Site Contractor for two (2) national design/build GC firms on three (3) separate undeveloped building sites at the Crossroads Distribution Center in Jacksonville, Florida. The Crossroads center is located close to I-295 and Pritchard Road and within an area that has seen significant development of large industrial distribution facilities.
As the Site Contractor, JBCCI worked directly with the design/build firm and property owner concerning permitting, scoping/schedules, safety and coordination of work with other building tradesmen on site. We also implemented the required stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) activities and performed weekly inspections along with ongoing maintenance throughout the entire construction phase to adhere with environmental regulatory requirements.
Our site work at each Crossroads site included clearing and preparing the unimproved land, removal of unsuitable materials, site grading and preparations for the building pad and paved areas, pond construction, underground utility system installation and connections, and surface preparations including concrete flatwork, truck/trailer pads, curb/gutter, asphalt parking, striping and signage. These distribution buildings range in size from 130K to 300K square feet and are situated on parcels ranging from 15 to 22 acres each.
Since our most recent project completion at Crossroads in 2021, we have completed several other similar projects across northeast Florida.
